NCCU Men’s Basketball Plays Gardner-Webb in Home Opener on Friday

Eagles host Runnin’ Bulldogs at 7 p.m.

DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University men’s basketball team will tip off its home schedule on Friday, Nov. 11 when it welcomes Gardner-Webb University to McDougald-McLendon Arena for a 7 p.m. contest.

After opening the 2022-23 campaign with a 95-71 victory at South Carolina State on Monday, Nov. 7, the Eagles (1-0) will host the Runnin’ Bulldogs (0-1), who dropped their season opener at home to Montreat College, 75-65, on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

NCCU’s home opener on Friday will serve as its Salute to Service Game. As part of the recognition of Veterans Day, all active and retired military and their families will receive free admission to the contest by showing their military ID at the McDougald-McLendon Arena ticket office.
