Idaho State Falls to Cal in Season Opener

The Idaho State Bengals women's basketball team dropped their season opener to the Cal Bears on Tuesday night, 74-62. The Bengals were led by Grace Nelson, who scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Beyonce Bea started her career at Idaho State with a double-double, scoring 13 points and grabbing 11 boards.

Idaho State never led in the game. Cal grabbed a 23-6 lead after the first quarter, and held that lead into halftime with a 16 point advantage, 46-30. The Bengals outscored Cal by two points in the second half and shot the ball better, but it wasn't enough to close the gap. Idaho State shot 35.7% from the field and 21.7% from three.
