WVU, UVA to meet at FedEx Field in Landover, Md., in '26

West Virginia will reportedly replace its 2026 road game versus East Carolina with a neutral-site contest against Virginia, sources told FootballScoop on Tuesday.

The game is expected to be played at FedEx Field in Landover, Md., according to the report.

WVU's future non-conference games

The Mountaineers have several other non-conference games already scheduled in the coming years, including a home game against James Madison in 2023, a road game at Coastal Carolina in 2024, and a home game against Liberty in 2025.

The addition of Virginia to the schedule gives WVU another Power Five opponent in the non-conference slate, something that head coach Neal Brown has been looking to do.

Virginia is coming off a 3-9 season in 2022, but the Cavaliers have a talented roster and are expected to be much improved in 2023.
