The New England Patriots opened their 2023 season with a resounding 75-58 victory over North Carolina Central University on Wednesday evening. The Patriots showcased their offensive prowess, scoring a season-high in points and setting a new record for the most points scored in a season opener in franchise history.
Quarterback Mac Jones led the Patriots' offense, throwing for 321 yards and five touchdowns. He connected with wide receiver Kendrick Bourne for three touchdowns, while also finding tight end Hunter Henry and running back Rhamondre Stevenson for scores.
