Jason Bourland, of Burleson, was letting his dog out into the backyard when he saw the mountain lion attacking the dog.
Bourland quickly jumped into action and grabbed the mountain lion by the tail. He then dragged the animal into his house and locked it in the bathroom.
Animal control was called and they were able to safely remove the mountain lion from the home.
Bourland said he was just glad he was able to save his dog's life.
"I didn't have time to think," Bourland said. "I just reacted."
Bourland's quick thinking and bravery saved his dog's life and prevented the mountain lion from causing any further damage.
