Idaho Defeats UC Davis for the First Time Since 2019
The Idaho Vandals men's basketball team defeated the UC Davis Aggies 84-76 in a Big Sky Conference game on Thursday night at ICCU Arena in Moscow, Idaho. The win was Idaho's second consecutive Big Sky win and their first over UC Davis since 2019.
The Vandals were led by Mikey Dixon, who scored a game-high 22 points. Dixon was 8-of-15 from the field and 4-of-7 from three-point range. Trevante Anderson added 19 points for Idaho, while Isaac Jones had 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The Aggies were led by Ty Johnson, who scored 18 points. Elijah Pepper added 17 points for UC Davis, while Jalen Thomas had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The Vandals shot 50.0% from the field and 40.0% from three-point range. The Aggies shot 42.9% from the field and 36.4% from three-point range.
The Vandals outrebounded the Aggies 36-30. Idaho also had 16 assists to UC Davis' 10.
The win improves Idaho's record to 10-11 overall and 4-4 in Big Sky play. The Aggies fall to 12-9 overall and 5-3 in Big Sky play.
The Vandals will return to action on Saturday night when they host the Montana State Bobcats. The Aggies will return to action on Saturday night when they host the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks.
