Broncos add future games against Utah, UTSA, and San Diego State
Broncos begin 2023 home schedule with Utah
BOISE, Idaho - Boise State Director of Athletics Jeramiah Dickey announced the addition of three future nonconference football games on Wednesday. The Broncos will host Utah (Aug. 30, 2023), UTSA (Sept. 14, 2024), and San Diego State (Sept. 13, 2025) at Albertsons Stadium.
The matchup with Utah will be the first meeting between the two schools since 2015 and just the third overall. The Broncos are 1-1 all-time against the Utes, with the lone victory coming in 2006.
Boise State will face UTSA for the first time in program history. The Roadrunners are coming off a 12-2 season in 2021, which included a victory over San Diego State in the Frisco Bowl.
The Broncos and San Diego State will renew their rivalry in 2025. The two schools have met 12 times previously, with Boise State holding a 7-5 advantage. The last meeting between the two schools was in 2017, a 31-14 Boise State victory.
