Utah defeats California 34-10 in Salt Lake City

California lost its 11th straight game on Saturday, falling to Utah 34-10 in Salt Lake City. The Golden Bears have not won a game since October 2021.

Utah, meanwhile, has won four straight games and is now 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the Pac-12. The Utes are tied with UCLA for first place in the Pac-12 South.

California took an early lead on Saturday, but Utah scored the next 34 points to take control of the game. The Utes' defense was dominant, holding California to just 195 yards of total offense. Utah also forced three turnovers, including two interceptions of California quarterback Jack Plummer.

Utah's offense was led by running back Tavion Thomas, who rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Cameron Rising also had a solid game, completing 15 of 24 passes for 198 yards and a touchdown.

With the win, Utah remains in contention
