Kempe Ignites King's Comeback
The Kings trailed 2-0 early in the second period, but Kempe's first goal sparked a comeback.
He took a pass from linemate Dustin Brown and fired a shot past Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko at the 7:11 mark of the period.
Kempe's second goal came on the power play in the third period. He deflected a point shot from Drew Doughty past Demko to give the Kings a 4-2 lead.
Kempe also assisted on a goal by Jeff Carter in the third period. It was his third assist of the season.
Kempe's bright future
Kempe's performance against the Canucks was a sign of his growing confidence and skills. He is quickly becoming one of the most dangerous players on the Kings' roster.
The 22-year-old is still developing, but he has shown flashes of brilliance this season.
If Kempe continues to produce at this level, he could be one of the best players in the NHL.
